Beat the heat of summer with a walk through the winter wonderland that is Santa's Village. With all the charm of the North Pole but none of the chill, this Jefferson, New Hampshire family theme park where fun is ever “present” is just an 18 mile sleigh ride from the Top Notch Inn (take the car if you must).
With 17 rides, you'll see smiles as wide as they are on Christmas morning on your family's faces. Float through the forest and then fly down the flume on the Yule Log, spin round-and-round on The Little Drummer Boy or savor the sights on a ride round the village on the Skyway Sleigh.
Hungry? The park's helpful elves will show you where you can stop for a snack at one of the park's seven eateries. Or course there are burgers and pizza, but you can also cool off with an ice cream at Frosty's Freezer, have a sweet treat like fried dough or cotton candy at Dasher's Delights, or help your children decorate their own ginger bread man at the Sugar n' Spice Bake Shop.
And of course a visit to Santa's Village isn't complete without a stop to see the big man himself. Santa is always home to greet his guests and pose for a picture, as are his reindeer, who love it when visitors stop by the barn and feed them a cookie. Oh, what fun it is!
Santa's Village is located at 528 Presidential Highway (Route 2) in Jefferson, New Hampshire. From the Top Notch Inn, head northwest on Route 2/Route 16 for .6 miles, turning left onto Route 2 where you'll head west for approximately 17 miles before reaching the park, which will be on the left. The park is open on weekends from May 23 through June 21 and seven days a week from June 22 through September 7, as well as select dates September – December. Tickets are $28 for those ages 4 and older and $22 for those ages 62 and older. Children ages 3 and below are free with a paid adult.
