Montrail Spring Trail Running Series
Great Glen Trails - A weekly trail running race series for all abilities and ages. Every Thursday for eight weeks racers can run/walk the long, short or mini courses between 3:30 and 7:00 p.m. Awards for top three in each category. Prizes for competitors who complete 6 out of 8 weeks are based on a raffle at the end of series awards party.

June 5
The Cultural Heritage Festival
Northern Forest Heritage Park. Gates Open at 11am & Close at 4:30pm, Free Admission! A full day of festivities for all ages. Families of Canadian, Norwegian, Scandinavian, Russian, German, Irish, and Italian descent will not want to miss this opportunity to participate in this festival. Purchase a sweet pastry from the partipating nations. There will be traditional American BBQ station serving hotdogs, burgers, and fries along with fried dough and ice cream. There will be plenty of entertainment, crafts, home made sweater sales and baked goods sale. The Androscoggin River Boat Tours will be running all day, starting at 10:00 AM into the evening.

Mt Washington Foot Race
This annual event began in 1960. Runners from all over the world participate in this 7.4 mile footrace up the Mt. Washington Auto Road. A grueling race that is not recommended for the inexperienced runner. 2010 marks the 50th year of this annual event.

There's a Black Fly in My Eye 10-Mile Trail Run & Relay
10:00 am — 2:00 pm, Great Glen Trails, Swat the black flies and tackle carriage roads, single track and a river crossing in this trail running race that's 100% New Hampshire. Solo and relay categories.
June 30th - July 4th
July 4th Celebration
Come to Gorham Town Common and spend the entire 4th of July 2010 weekend and celebrate our great country. There will be fantastic live music, delicious food and lots of fun for the entire family! The fun starts June 30th and goes through until July 4th!
July 6 thru August 24
Summer Mountain Bike Series
3:30 pm — 7:00 pm, Great Glen Trails. A weekly mountain biking series every Tuesday. Riders compete against the clock in this fun, easy going series. The course takes advantage of our carriage roads and single track in our trail system at the base of Mt. Washington. Complete 5 out of 8 weeks to become eligible for the prize lottery.
July 10
Newton's Revenge Bicycle Race
8:30 am - 12:30 pm, Great Glen Trails. This hillclimb will be contested on exactly the same course as the historic Mt Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb – the toughest hillclimb in the world. This new addition is in response to the overwhelming popularity of the MWARBH and this year will benefit the Mt Washington Observatory and other non-profits. The intent of this second hillclimb is to satisfy the demand for bicycle racing on this hill and to raise money, but it will only be conducted in a way that will not hinder the Tin Mountain Conservation Center's ability to raise funds in the future through the annual Mt Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb held in August.

15th Annual 24 Hours of Great Glen
Begins 2:00 pm. Join us at Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center when the cannon fires to signal the start of the annual mountain bike race. For 24 hours, riders will take on the racecourse for this challenging and grueling event. Spectators are encouraged to come cheer on the racers and enjoy the festivities under the event tent.

The Wildman Biathlon
Is a three-part event for teams and individuals. Now in its 21st year, the Wildman is New England's toughest single day, multi-sport event, challenging individuals and 2 or 3 person teams who enjoy a variety of terrain and scenery. T-shirts are offered to all participants with trophies awarded to overall and category winners along with the numerous prizes given away through random drawing.

River Day Festival
Northern Forest Heritage Park 10:00 AM *FREE ADMISSION to the park* Source to the Sea Trek segment from Bofinger to nfhp,sponsored by the Androscoggin Watershed Council. AMC naturalist guides will offer family freindly, water-related activities such as the aquatic station with invertebrates that live in the water, and water Olympics activities for kids from Project *WET*. Northern Forest Paddlers Film Fest - A Celebration of Kayaking and Canoeing.Viewers will enjoy the diversity depicted in these works, from the peace of a canoe paddle in quiet waters to the adrenaline rush of kayaking down multi-story waterfalls. $7.00 admission, children12 & under FREE 2:00 PM in the Bunkhouse.
Also at the park Berlin Fire Fighters proudly present the first Annual Wingzilla Festival - Chicken Wing Cookoff and Horseshoe Tournament. Registration at 9AM. Cash prizes, great food, live broadcast of music all day by Magic 98.1 FM, horseshoe competition, log rolling competition, pool fishing, crafts and more!

The 38th Annual Mt. Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb
8:30 am — 12:30 pm. You may have seen these bicycle racers on TV challenging mountains in Europe, but they call this event the "TOUGHEST HILLCLIMB RACE IN THE WORLD!" 7.6 miles up the Mt. Washington Auto Road. Come see for yourself why the top racers from around the world and local riders travel to Pinkham Notch to challenge the Mt. Washington Auto Road. Auto Road open to the public from 12:30 pm until 6:00 pm.

September 2 - 30
Fall Trail Running Series
3:30 pm - 6:30 pm. A weekly trail running race series for all abilities and ages. Every Thursday for six weeks racers can run/walk the course of their choice between 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. Long, short and mini course. The series features a mini course that is perfect for children ages 5 and under. For those a little older or for adults looking to try trail running for the first time, there is a short course, usually around 2 miles. For trail running veterans, the long course, approximately 3 miles, features a mix of single-track, carriage roads and hills - everything a trail runner could want. Walking divisions offered for all ages and courses. Awards for top three in each category. Prizes for competitors who complete four out of six weeks are based on a raffle at the end of the series award party.

Berlin Cross Country Invitational
9:00 am — 12:00 pm, Great Glen Trails. Berlin High School will host a cross country running meet for 23 High Schools and more than 500 racers. During this race, bike rentals will still be available and the trails will be open. All bikers are asked to please yield to runners.

FEWABS - Fall Fitness for Women
9:30 am — 11:00 am, Great Glen Trails. An outdoor fitness program to help participants develop: Flexibility, Endurance, Whole body involvement, Agility, Balance and Strength. Led by Great Glen Trails Ski School Director, Olympian Sue Wemyss.
