Gorham New Hampshire Moose Tours
Take a scenic Moose and Wildlife Tour in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Each 3-hour evening tour takes you along the Androscoggin River where you can spot moose and other native wildlife. Tours are sponsored by the Gorham, NH Chamber of Commerce and run from early May to October.
Seeing a moose is an opportunity of a lifetime. Moose are big! An adult moose can weigh over 1000 pounds. Moose are browsers, feeding on leaves, twigs and hardwood and softwood trees and shrubs. They typically eat 40 to 60 pounds of ‘browse’ per day. Cows prefer to keep their calves near water and can be seen along the shores of the Androscoggin River.
